Halloween - a time of year that I like to get just a little crazy. Okay, so everything's relative, right? Also, I'm missing pics from a bunch of Halloween parties I've attended - contact me if you have any of them!
	Halloween 1990 - Daicon 4.5 Bunny "Daicon" is a Japanese animation reference. I told non-fans I was a Playgirl bunny... this was my first Halloween party after the car accident. I hand-made the whole thing, with dye assistance from (yes) my mom. Guest-starring Denise Rich.		Galtham Film 1996 - Brion Fields Mildly disreputable egghead engineer of the mildly disreputable cargo vessel T.S.E. Mirage, the ship chosen to test the mildly dysfunctional Inversion Drive in the Space Rogues movie.
	Rising Star 1997 - Grin'elle Kriet My fourth Starfleet uniform, a gift from Jerry Conner. This was supposed to be my Wrath of Khan-era Trek character, but he's a time-traveller anyway, so I have an excuse to put him in the Next Generation threads.		Halloween 1997 - The Rabbiteer By request (honestly!), I revisited my bunny outfit that year. My button reads "You know what really burns my tail? The flame from this rocket backpack!" Wish I wasn't squinting from the flash.
	Rising Star 1999 - Obi-Gon Skywalker My RS 8 Emcee costume, and backup Halloween outfit. Apparently Jedi like to boogie. Eventually, I also wore it to entertain at a child's costume party, and as an officiant for a wedding.		Halloween 1999 - White Tiger Power Ranger Spandex & upholstery foam, here to save the day! I made the armor myself, and I'm still pleased with how it came out. For some reason, the original character outfit included no armor for below the belt, which seems to be bad combat design.
	Halloween 2000 - Dallas Powers Austin Powers' less reputable brother and two cohorts, Lisa Maloney and Kathleen Roberts. (Neither lady had those last names at the time.) I'm wearing the Austin wig; disturbingly, it's hard to tell it apart from my regular hair.		Fall 2001 - Paul Slaine Here I'm helping with a Roanoke Science Museum fundraiser, in my fifth Starfleet uniform. This is my actual Next Gen character, as captured by a Roanoke Times photographer. This is also my shortest haircut ever.
	Halloween 2001 - Vanessa Vinyl This outfit attracted girls. No, really; I wore it to a VTSFFC party, and got more conversation time with the ladies than I'd ever had. I've worn dresses at cons and parties a few times since, and it keeps working. I may be on to something here.		Halloween 2003 - Neo (bearded) The One decided to go for a new look that year. I think a goatee would have been quite a fashion statement for Keanu Reaves, eh? Not that it would have made the last two Matrix movies better.
	Pirate Wedding 2007 - Sky Pirate Telf and Gene's wedding required pirate gear, and I couldn't resist throwing on my old rocket pack and flying goggles. Warning: in kilted rocket flight, going regimental is a bad idea.		Halloween 2007 - Metallic maid Starr picked this up for me, and it went over just as well as the 2001 outfit. My sister claimed to be jealous of both my hair and (fake) boobs. Not sure why I painfully de-furred my torso and limbs, but not my face.
	Halloween 2008 - Starfleet captain Yes, my sixth Starfleet uniform, this one from the Enterprise prequel series. I wore it to work at NASA, where enough geeks work to provide the proper recognition factor.

	Technicon 1987 - ElfQuest group From the comic book... I'm the guy on the left. I eventually went bare-chested to be more accurate.		SciCon 1988 - Starfleet Vice Star Trek "narcotics agents"; I'm on the right. See our t-shirt in my art section.
	Costume party 1990 - "Cyberpunk" theme Possibly the best party I ever threw... and scant weeks before my car accident. I'm the one with my arm around the green girl.
